The next Encounter evening – for 15-30s will be this Friday at St Wilfrid’s School, Crawley (RH11 8PG) 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The Encounter programme is all about giving young Catholics a space to connect with each other in a friendly environment, and to deepen our faith. Anyone is welcome, especially new people. Lourdes Pilgrimage 2018 – forms for this year’s pilgrimage from 26 July – 3 August are now available online from www.ablourdes.org (helpers, doctors, nurses and able pilgrims). Teddy trail – running throughout Fairtrade Fortnight, a discovery trail for children around the town. Find nine teddies in local shops that sell Fairtrade goods and solve the mystery. Forms available from EG Library (where completed forms should be handed in by 12 March), schools and at the back of OLSP. Fairtrade Chocolate Easter Eggs as prizes for the first three correct drawn entries. CAKE SALE – After the 9am Mass on Sunday 11th March Lingfield SVP are holding a cake sale in St. Bernard’s hall. All proceeds are in aid of the SVP Baby Feeding Programme in South Sudan.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION groups – In East Grinstead we meet each Thursday. We are now meeting earlier, from 5.00-6.00pm during the darker months, in a member’s home. EASTER RETREAT FOR 18-35s AT WORTH ABBEY – Worth Abbey and The Wellspring Community invite young adults (ages 18-35) to celebrate the Easter Triduum (29th March-1st April) with a retreat at Worth Abbey. Over the Easter Triduum young adults from across the UK will be gathering to celebrate the Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The retreat will be centred around participation in the Triduum liturgy from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, with a programme of talks by the monks, discussion, prayer & reflection and fellowship. Leading up to the retreat, you are welcome to be part of a ‘Cross Walk’- a group of young adults and monks who will walk to Worth from Arundel, across the beautiful South Downs, carrying the cross. DAY FOR YOUTH LEADERS AND CATECHISTS – INSPIRE 2018 – On Saturday May 12th, there will be a day for youth leaders, Confirmation catechists and young adult ministers, as well as anybody who is interested. The day will be delivered ‘TED Style’ with six great speakers each giving a short 20-minute talk. We’re delighted to have Will Desmond from Sion/ theASCENT, Father Nick Crowe from the Dominicans, Lizzie Wakeling, Toby Harman, and others. A fantastic line-up! Bishop Richard will also be with us for the first part of the day. It’s all happening at St Joseph’s Church, Redhill on Saturday May 12th from 10am to 3.30pm.
