REFRESHMENTS –  Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS –  The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS –  can be taken out at anytime throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income or the parish with no extra cost to the parishioner

LENT RECONCILIATION SERVICE  –  An opportunity to prepare for Easter by confession.  Thursday 7pm OLSP.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS  –  will be done on weekday mornings at 9am before Mass.

REQUIEM MASS:  –  Thursday 11.30am OLSP for Margaret Larkin RIP followed by burial at Forest Row.

NO ADORATION  –  of The Blessed Sacrament on Friday because of the funeral.

Justice and Peace Group  –  meet next at 7.30pm on Tuesday 9 April at Moat Church.  Thanks to all those who donated rucksacks to refugees in Calais. One consignment has gone and more will follow.  Please note the date for this year’s Sleep Out will be overnight on  Saturday 29 June.  Money raised will go Crawley Open House, Turning Tides (Worthing Churches Homeless Project) and The Easter Team.PARISH 100 CLUB  –  Congratulations to winners in the March draw of the 100 Club: 1st, £50, no 40, Mrs Perris; 2nd, £25, no 111, O’Neill Family; 3rd, £15, no 97, Miss Herring.

Catholic Women’s League  –  will meet on Wednesday 10th April at 5:45 in the church for Stations of the Cross.  Following this we will have a business  meeting in the hall.  There will be a BRING and BUY.

Helping young people help others  –  Are you (or do you know) a young Catholic (aged 16-24) who would like to volunteer to help others? Every year the Catenian Bursary Fund supports young Catholics from all over the world who volunteer to do something wonderful and help those less fortunate than themselves…across the globe. LONDON MARATHON 28TH APRIL 2019  –  Aidan Cantwell is attempting to raise over £2,000 for the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) UK.  JRS is an international Catholic organisation; in the UK it works tirelessly for refugees despite the increasingly hostile and isolating world we live in.  Its centre in London provides a sanctuary where destitute asylum seekers are made to feel welcome, cared for and valued.  To sponsor Aidan please go to

Easter Triduum Retreat for Young Adults (18-35s)  –  This Easter weekend, there will be a retreat for young adults at Worth Abbey Benedictine Monastery, celebrating the Passion and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The monastic community at Worth Abbey and the members of The Wellspring Community invite you to join us for this great Feast! SUNDAY 28TH APRIL  –  PARISH SPRING LUNCH  –  at St. Bernard’s Church Hall, gathering from 12.30pm for lunch at 1.00 pm.  All arrangements will be as for the previous lunches: soft drinks will be provided but please bring your own alcoholic drinks; pre-booking is not required – just come along if you wish; there is no charge but there will be a voluntary donations basket.  Everyone is welcome – from all corners of the parish.

20p feeds a baby for a day!  Lingfield SVP are running a Family Race night on Saturday 11th May from 6.30 -10.00ish. Venue Jubilee Community Centre East Grinstead. Tickets cost £10 for a family of 4 or £5 per adult. It includes a Ploughman’s Platter and Ice Cream.  It will be an evening of fun and laughter with Children (of any age) riding the hobby horses and a licensed bar for the adults (soft drinks for the children).  By making this fun night a success we all reach out directly to the children in Sudan.  We need to know numbers a.s.a.p. and tickets are available from Lala (01342 327222) Angeline (01342 832665) or Enrique (07824 098276). INSPIRE 2019 – DAY FOR YOUTH LEADERS  –  ‘INSPIRE’ is the annual day for anyone who works with young people and young adults in a Catholic context, and anyone who is interested. It’s happening on Saturday May 11th at St Joseph’s Church, Redhill, 10am to 2.30pm. Tickets are £10. The day will include some time with the Bishop, as well as a series of presentations on important questions in youth and young adult ministry. Cake & Plant Sale at OLSP – 8/9 June (Pentecost) –  Advance notice of sale organized by the Gospel of Life Group – with all proceeds going to Cavendish House, supported accommodation – Lingfield.  As ever, we are most grateful for donations of cakes and plants for sale from parishioners. A DATE FOR OUR DIARIES, LOOKING AHEAD  A lunchtime Parish Social is planned for Sunday, 16th June, in the Meridian Hall at East Court, East Grinstead,  and more details will follow nearer the date.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE  –  applications for this year’s pilgrimage from 25th July to 2 August are now open for helpers, assisted pilgrims and pilgrims, doctors and nurses.  Please go to http://www.ablourdes.org  For paper application forms and further enquiries please ring 01403 740110 or E-Mail office@ablourdes.org

EG Foodbank – items required are biscuits, shampoo, cereal (small packets 500g), hand soap, rice 500g, razors (small packets), shaving foam, jam, tinned fruit, rice pudding, pasta sauce (jars) tinned peas and carrots.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE  – welcomes sleeping bags, blankets, and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when the Centre is full.  In addition tinned and packet food is welcome as well as coffee, tea and sugar.  Please leave donated items at the back of church at OLSP and St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes also be donated at both churches, or taken directly to COH at Three Bridges.  Tel: 01293 447702.
