Our Lady and St Peter Church has a long history. It is a Grade II listed building and the parish office and hall are located down the side of the church towards the back. The church was blessed and officially opened on 2 October 1898, and in August of the following year it was consecrated by Bishop (later cardinal) Francis Bourne. The family of Sir Edward Blount, who lived in Imberhorne Manor, generously gave the land for the building of the church.
In October 2024 the church celebrated its 125th Anniversary. As part of the celebrations a document on the history of the church was prepared which you can read below.

Accessibility
- The church has power assisted doors and all a wheelchair accessible entrance.
- Sunday Mass readings in large-print are available from the welcoming team.
- A closed loop system is used during Mass which is accessible to hearing aids in the ‘T’ position.
Mass and Sacraments
Mass is usually on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9.30am, Saturday at 6.15pm and Sundays at 10.30am.
Confession is offered on Saturday from 10am to 11am and from 5.30pm to 6pm.
You can always contact Fr Jack to arrange Confession at a time that suits you.
Adoration is usually available from 9am to 9.30am on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 11am to 12pm on Fridays.
Fr Jack is usually available to take enquires about Baptisms, Weddings and any other matter on Saturdays from 10am to 11am.

Parking
The easiest place to park is Norton House car park, opposite the church. You can access the car park from London Road or Moat Road and use the pelican crossing to access the church safely. Parking in East Grinstead is free on Sundays.
